An interesting hike to the top of Vidova Gora, the highest point in the area may be enjoyed to gain access to beautiful views across to neighbouring islands and the mainland.
There are several local beaches in the village which are very picturesque and offer a very different atmosphere to the popular Zlatni Rat. Zlatni Rat can be accessed via a pine covered tiled walkway from the village (approximately 20 minutes stroll). In season there are frequent ferries from the village harbour to Zlatni Rat and a land train which runs to and from the seafront in the village to the beach.
The village itself is busy and bustling in peak season but quiet and peaceful out of the main season. It offers several supermarkets and a local market where fresh fruit and vegetables may be purchased as well as a variety of fresh fish (depending on season and availability). There is a host of restaurants where local specialities, including many fish dishes, may be enjoyed. You may walk into the village and buy freshly-baked bread and pastries from the bakeries or fresh meat, fish and salads/vegetables at any time of day!
